The Fairy Godmother

Mary Tighe is obsessed with princesses. I think I've mentioned this once already. We made it through the live action Cinderella movie over the spring and I can't believe all 6 of us were able to sit quietly and still that long! Cinderella's fairy godmother doesn't hold a candle to Mary Tighe's Aunt Lindsay who is so generous with her time and loyal to her friends to come all the out to Poolesville to visit. We loved seeing her as always! 

 

Mary Tighe is moving on up!

Mary Tighe graduated from preschool in Friday. She is going to be a young, young 5 starting preschool since her birthday is August 31st. She told Granny Goose she was a little bit sad to go because she wouldn't be able to spend as much time with her and with me :( makes me sad too, but she says she also wants to get on the bus with Archer. 

Dressing up as princesses

Mom came to visit last week and since Mary Tighe is obsessed with princesses she wanted us all to dress up in pretty princess dresses . Then we went to get our nails done. I wore Mary's bridesmaid dress that barely fit.  I had dirty hair and was sweating, but sure did feel like a princess with my girls! 

Dolly and the Family

David told me to look at the old blog from when Archer was little.  I loved being able to look at the pictures!  Here are some pictures of the newest addition, Dorothea Lee Dansby, born on Christmas Eve 2014.

We also have Alice, who is now 2.5 and then, of course, Mary Tighe is 4 and Archer is 7!  Where does the time go.

And now we live in Poolesville.  And now you know.  No one reads this, which good.  So whoever you are, now you know.  I want to move out of my current abode to a farm.  Maybe it will work out and maybe it won't.

Baby Talk etc.

Here is how the conversation went:

Mom when you get a baby in your tummy can I help make him?

Um, no sweetie.  Daddy will help make the baby.  You and the girl you marry can make your own baby!  That girl would be lucky to make a baby with you.

Who do you want me to marry?

I want you to marry someone who you love.

I love Granny Goose.  I want to marry Granny Goose

Granny Goose loves you too, but she is already married to Boo Daddy.  You might find someone to marry that you don't even know yet!

I just want to marry Granny Goose.

She is special I know.  Maybe you can find someone who is just as good a player as Granny Goose.

Goo Goo Snotty among other friends

Archer and David were playing hard this morning when I was with a very coughy Mary Tighe, trying to get her to relax her cough long enough to get her to sleep.  Archer became Goo Goo Snotty, long lost college friend of David who was reuniting with him after many years. Steez and Goostz are also worth mentioning.  They are the dishwashers in our family.  I love his imagination.

Grabby Hands

Archer says Mary Tighe has grabby hands.  She does.  We are at the stage where everything and anything has to go into her mouth.  She grabs Archer's hair.  She grabs Archer's scissors.  She grabs my hair.  She grabs paper, she loves to grab paper and just stuff it in her mouth or suck on it until it turns to mush.  Mary Tighe can also be the grabby hands monster and tear apart puzzles, rip apart books or magazines and try to crawl over Archer, much to his delight.  I hope he keeps up this tolerant behavior of his sister's antics.
